CHRISTIANE PESCHEK | Salon Intervention & Panel Talk

opening October 29: As the art market is constantly shifting, SALON Interventions allow the Salon to move with it. The format leaves room for new constellations to emerge as opportunities arise. For its 2nd edition, works by vienna-based artist Christiane Peschek (*1984) enter into conversation with paintings by Citlali L. Halfar and Maximilian Rödel.
On October 29 at 6 pm, Christiane Peschek will be part of the panel talk "KUNST TRIFFT MEDIZIN" at Stiftung für Kusnt und Kultur Bonn. The event featuring Peschek, as well as Prof. Dr. Sabine C. Koch and Prof. Dr. Georg Nickenig, explores the multifaceted interplay between artistic creation and medical impact. Seats are limited. Please register via email (kultur@stiftungkunst.de).
Andreae Gallery will be open to visit before as well as after the panel talk at the foundation, as well as after (open from 2 to 9:30 pm).
Peschek’s practice is situated in the extreme present in which subjectivity is continuously recalibrated through technological intimacy, algorithmic governance and embodied dependency. Her works are located somewhere between painting and photography and function as hybrid interfaces rather than representational portraits. They are realized through digital retouch processes, sublimation dye, and pastel pigments on polar fleece.
