Galerie Judith Andreae becomes ANDREAE

At this year’s Art Düsseldorf, we are delighted to introduce a new chapter: Galerie Judith Andreae becomes Andreae. This moment marks more than a change of name or the unveiling of a new logo—it reflects the natural evolution of a family-led gallery entering its next generation, while also reaffirming our strong ties to the Rhineland, where we are rooted both as a family and as a gallery, and from which we take this important step forward. With the arrival of Katja Kamilla Andreae, a renewed energy has already begun to shape the program over the past year and a half. Now, this shift takes on a visible form.
Developed in close collaboration between mother and daughter and realized together with Cope Studio , the new wordmark is derived from a design reinterpretation of a name deeply rooted in the Andreae family history—tracing back as far as the 16th century. It is both a rediscovery and a continuation: a gesture that looks forward while remaining grounded in its origins. Because moving ahead also means pausing to recognize what came before—the vision, dedication, and foundation established by Judith Andreae. Building on this legacy, Andreae embraces the future with clarity, openness, and a sense of continuity, shaped by fresh perspectives, yet firmly connected to its roots.
