NATALIE BREHMER | Kebbel Villa, Schwandorf

On the occasion of the exhibition “In Bewegung” (engl.: In Movement) at the Kebbel Villa in Schwandorf, the sculpture “Startblock” by gallery artist Natalie Brehmer was added to the art collection of the Upper Palatinate district. The work recreates a track and field starting block on a 1:1 scale using glass. The raw material consists of champagne bottles collected in connection with Art Basel, Gallery Weekend Berlin, and Paris Photo. Their origins point to key locations, rituals, and encounters within the international art world.
