opening May 21: TIZIANA JILL BECK | Ostrakon Stories

Galerie Andreae is pleased to present Tiziana Jill Beck’s first solo exhibition in the gallery, Ostrakon Stories. Tiziana Jill Beck (*1982) studied at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin from 2004 to 2008 and at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig from 2008 to 2012; since 2017, she has been a master’s student there under Prof. Ruckhäberle. After extended stays in South Korea and Paris, Tiziana Jill Beck now lives and works in Berlin.

The berlin-based artist primarily works with the medium of drawing, combined with artistic publications, installation-based objects, and, currently, painting as well. In her works, the sense and nonsense of everyday life, current events, and influences from art history, literature, and pop culture intermingle; she alienates, abstracts, and places these elements into new contexts within her own visual compositions.
